About Miffy

The character Miffy is becoming still more popular and most kids know Miffy and her cute little face.

In 1955 in the Netherlands during a family vacation Dick Bruna started telling his son stories about a little rabbit they had seen in the dunes. And so Miffy was ”born”. Miffy became a female after Bruna decided that he wanted to draw a dress and not trousers on his rabbit.

Miffy is Dick Bruna’s best known and most popular character, featuring in more than 30 books, far more than any other character he created. Miffy appeals to children all over the world, instilling a sense of safety. Many children are able to identify with Miffy and her adventures. She is uncomplicated and innocent, has a positive attitude and is always open to new experiences.
